Firewheel Community is located in far North Garland directly off the new President George Bush Turnpike, approximately 30 minutes from downtown Dallas, Texas. This area has boomed with new schools, a brand new Events Center, new hotels and restaurants are being built and we boast the new Firewheel Town Center, with its long list of fine stores and restaurants and movie theater. In the center of all of this sits a quiet community know as Firewheel Estates, Firewheel Farms, The Fairways of Firewheel, The Hills Of Firewheel, and the gated golf course community of The Retreat At Firewheel. The Bridges
The Bridges is the newst of the courses, with three different, unique nines: the Masters, The Champions, and The Traditions. The courses are aesthetically pleasing, featuring Bent grass greens, 419 Bermuda tees, fairways, and roughs, and a 35 station practice range. The Champion nine plays to a length of 3474 from the back tees and 2614 from the front tees. The Masters plays to a length of 3553 from the back tees and 2529 from the front tees. The Tradition plays to a length of 3202 from the back tees and 2529 from the front tees.
The Lakes Course
The Lakes Course is a challenging 18 holes of golf. Stretching 7134 yards from the tips--a tight, difficult test with carries over ten lakes, and plenty of bid-faced bunkers, too. It has a slope rating of 139 from the gold tees.
The Old Course
The par-71 Old Course plays from 7054 to just about 5500 yards in lenght, depending which set of tees you play from. It is probably the user-friendliest of all the courses. Winding over gently rolling terrain, through peaceful woods and over slow-moving streams, the Old Course features wide, forgiving fairways and roughs.
